Subject: Voluntary Revisions of Toxic Chemical Inventory Report for 1995, 1996, & 1997 Perfect Equipment Company, LLC TRI Fac. ID #37133PRFCT855SC

On January 20, 1999, "VOLUNTARY REVISIONS" were submitted to the EPCRA and the State of TN for this facility's 1995, 1996, and 1997 Toxic Chemical Inventory Report. These revisions were made to reclassify the off-site shipments of process metal bearing materials going back for remelting as being "reused" rather than "recycled". The effect of these revisions was to reduce the off-site shipments of lead, antimony, and arsenic to 0 lbs./yr.

BACKGROUND Off-site shipments of metal bearing materials were changed from being classified as "recycled" to "reused" after discussions with Region IV of the Environmental Protection Agency were held explaining how the materials are remelted and reused. This agency concurred that the materials could rightfully be considered "reused".
