  • Threats and Contaminants
Onsite monitoring well sampling results identified various VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCS) believed to have originated from a nearby fiber manufacturer. The soil also is contaminated with various VOCS. Individuals may be at risk if direct contact is made with contaminated groundwater or soil. Closing the contaminated wells has reduced the potential for drinking contaminated groundwater.
